I have been in sales for as long as I can remember. Even while in grade school, I remember earning ‘movie money’ by selling greeting cards door to door in my neighborhood. I sold gardening services in high school, dinner and drinks in college, and everything from rock salt to financial services since then. Some may argue that selling dinner is a waiter’s job; I consider this - along with many other professions - to be a sub set of the sales profession.

I believe sales is a true profession, and one that is guided by some pretty simple principles. Notably, that people do not buy from companies, they buy from people. My success in this profession is founded on that principle, and my focus with each person I contact is to put the human element back into the process. I also believe that professionalism is defined by integrity and accountability, elements that help to build trust and stronger relationships, and therefore bring the people element back into business. People like to do business with people they know and trust.
